A New Farm 'Downeast'!

Here we are in Blue Hill, Maine!! We recently moved our farm to be closer to our family
'Downeast' We wanted to farm and raise our children in an area that is more rural and down-to-earth. It's been about three months since we arrived, and we have loved every minute of our time here! It's been a big adjustment, but we are finally settling into the rhythm of our new community. We are very excited about bringing our 1840's cape back to life and getting our country store up and running! We have been open on Fridays & Saturdays for about a month, to give the community a preview of some of the things to come once we are really up and running. We have met so many nice people! Unfortunately our barn (where the store is) is not heated, so we won't be able to stay open this winter. We hope to change all that in the coming year. For now, we will stay open as long we are able to keep warm. Once we close, we will be available by appointment. In the meantime, we will be working hard at getting our website done, continuing our renovations and getting out into the community and meeting people. We are looking forward to our first winter here - yes, I said "looking forward to..."! We like winter! I'm sure the mountain in our backyard will look beautiful covered in a blanket of white snow! I personally can't wait to sit by a warm fire, knit and dream of planting our gardens in the spring!
